Always use a brush which is soft bristled and always start brushing from bottom and then towards the upper area of hair. Never tie your hair tightly while sleeping as tightly tied hair break off. Hair can be extended up to 26 inches or 30 inches or any length you want to have. The best and recommended length for hair extension for women is 22 inches or less than that. But extraordinary length will put an extra weight and stress on the scalp which can cause an irregular pressure and damage to the hair.

Make sure that extension artists should make you feel comfortable while doing their work, if you are getting hurt then just get out of there. Remy hair extensions  should not be applied underneath the base of scalp and the tension level should be equal all over your head and there must be no points causing pulling or hurting.
